Hello, Thoughts

There is something in the glimpses of candid moments
where noises lull down, falling in pitch and volume,
settling to a gentle silence; here, all tire, even the brute
waves of oceans brimming with youth and vigor rest;
nothing and no one is awake, except I, keeper of
this solitary sanctuary in which I reside for what
seems to be the length of a thousand passings of Sun,
if only he too had not stopped to linger and behold.

It becomes harder and harder to come back from such serenity.
